The relevance of this study is high since it is very important to be sustainable in the modern economy. Identifying patterns of resilience helps companies reduce the risks posed by turbulence in a structural crisis. The purpose of the research is to identify and analyze sustainability patterns of companies using the example of the oil and gas and petrochemical industries. In the theoretical part of the research, the fundamentals of the sustainability of companies in the context of a structural crisis were considered, namely, the concept and forms of sustainability, signs and features of a structural crisis, and a methodology for assessing the sustainability of companies. Next, a quantitative analysis of the state of the Russian oil and gas and petrochemical industries was carried out, which helped to assess the stability of the selected intersectoral sample. In the final chapter of the research, the sustainability patterns of the Russian oil and gas and petrochemical industries were identified and described, as well as the case method was applied and financial stability in the conditions of COVID-19 and sanctions was considered. The revealed financial stability patterns of companies in the Russian oil and gas and petrochemical industries allowed us to formulate prospects for the development of selected industries. As a result of the research, it can be concluded in a structural crisis, financial stability will be maintained by companies that comprehensively approach sustainability management and can be flexible in conditions of turbulence.
