The Impact of Natural Regions on the Choice of Raw Materials in the Production of Wine

This study describes in detail the influence of natural zones on the choice in the production of raw materials. The theory of terroir and its main components was analyzed, and the relationship between some components of terror and the most suitable grape variety was also analyzed. In the practical part, a dataset was assembled, which included the geodata of the winery and the grape variety with the highest rating of this winery. After validation and model tuning, the accuracy was more than 0.75. Further, the model was applied in the regions of the Russian Federation with potential to increase the area of vineyards. As a result, a new tool was created for winemakers to select raw materials for wine production, based on the natural area of the area
