This study explores key factors in the video gaming industry, focusing on the impact of gaming platforms on global sales, genre trends, and the effects of release timing and demographics. Findings reveal significant differences in sales across platforms, underscoring the importance of platform selection for developers and publishers. The study analyses historical trends to understand changing genre popularity and its influence on revenue. It also examines how release timing and genre affect game revenue, offering strategic insights for optimising sales. Demographic differences highlight varying preferences and behaviours among gamers, aiding targeted marketing efforts. Overall, the research provides valuable data-driven recommendations for industry stakeholders to navigate the evolving market.
