The work examines the improvement of the business process of interaction between individuals and legal entities with the department based on the implementation of an external portal of the departmental organization. Among the current problems of the department, the low transparency of the process of implementing control measures stands out, which entails high costs for organizing unscheduled inspections and untimely detection of violations of the law. As part of the work, proposals for the design of the portal were developed in terms of defining its concept, basic requirements, and a model of the department's target architecture. Proposals have also been drawn up for initiating a project to implement the portal in terms of developing its schedule, stages and calculating economic indicators.
