The Government Policy of Counter-Revolution: Ideas and Practice (late 1905-early 1906)

The work consider the correlation between conservative thought on ways out of the revolutionary crisis and government policy of 1905 - 1906. The author concludes that this correspondence was only fragmentary due to the fact that the proposals of the conservative public were vague and did not contain specific measures. In turn, the cabinet of S.Y. Witte proceeded from practical benefits and was not guided by the ideas of conservative publicists. Moreover, when developing the reform program, he focused on the liberal model of Russia's transformation.
