Assessment of the Economic Risks of Foreign Companies Exiting the Subjects of the Russian Federation

There is a growing body of international research which shows the importance of foreign companies in national economies. However, little is known about the effects of internationals exiting a country. Therefore, this study focuses on the Russian Federation as an example to investigate the impact of such a phenomenon on regional economies. The purpose of this study is to develop recommendations for managing the risks to the economic sustainability of Russian regions under the sanctions pressure. To achieve these research goals, extensive data will be collected on the economic indicators of all legal entities, including subsidiaries, through which over 1,500 foreign companies operated in Russia. Indexes and Clusters analysis will be employed to examine economic risks. This research will offer insights into the economic ramifications associated with the exit of foreign companies and propose effective strategies for mitigating these effects.
