Strategies for Hiring Foreign Employees to an IT Company in a Competitive Labor Market (The Case of JSC SDI SOLUTION)

This master's thesis is a project-based paper that aims to develop and implement a comprehensive hiring strategy for JSC SDI Solution, an innovative IT company specializing in the development and implementation of master-data management systems (MDM), computer-aided process planning systems (CAPP), and labor and material rationing systems. In order to achieve this goal, there were several objectives set, which were accomplished during the preparation of the thesis. The first chapter of the thesis introduces the hiring process and its place within the human resource management (HRM) system. Further it continues with the description of recruitment process and its steps and also peculiarities of the offshore hiring. At the end of the chapter the strategy for hiring is observed. The second chapter represents analyses of the IT labor markets of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan as a base for the formulation of recruitment strategy for SDI Solution. There also is an overview of Huawei experience in terms of hiring foreign employees, providing useful insights for the hiring strategy development. The third chapter provides company analysis as a base for creation of the strategy for hiring foreign employees for SDI Solution, the process of its development and an observation of peculiarities of the employment created on the base of legal documents. Through these comprehensive analyzes, the expected result of offering practical recommendations and guidelines in form of the hiring strategy for IT company SDI Solution seeking to optimize its hiring strategies and maximize the potential of foreign talent in an increasingly competitive global landscape was achieved.
