In this study, the competence model was studied as an organizational tool that is actively used in modern business, and a list of key competencies of consulting project teams was determined. The work contains a description of the concept of competencies, a typology of competencies, stages and principles of model development, conditions for its effective use, as well as tools to enhance the systemic effect of the application of competencies. In the course of the study, benchmarking of the best practices for personnel evaluation in consulting companies was carried out using the in-depth interview method. Based on its results, a model of key competencies for project teams in consulting was developed, including 10 key competencies of a project team consultant. Each competence has 4 levels of manifestation. The model presented in the study is universal and can be used in consulting companies with minor adaptation to the business context of the company.
