The introduction of CBDCs, namely the digital ruble, can contribute to the increased competition in the banking sector and the emergence of new digital financial services. However, the introduction of the digital ruble may lead to a decrease in the profitability of the banking business. The issue of accommodating tariff policies of banking services in the context of the introduction of CBDC has not been studied in the scientific literature, but is acute due to the introduction of the digital ruble in 2025. This works applies the Salop price competition model to analyze the impact of the introduction of the digital ruble on banks' tariffs for payment products, as well as interest rates on attracting customer funds. The purpose of the paper is to assess the trajectory of changes in tariffs and rewards for services and products that the digital ruble will compete with, namely: acquiring, B2B transfers, current accounts. The work is supported by an in-depth econometric analysis, which has shown the importance of both price and non-price factors for banks to attract customers. The results of the work can be applied in the development of tariffs for banks and their development strategies.
