Since 2010, electric transport has experienced rapid growth and development globally. This is due to its alignment with the demands of modern society, including interest in sustainable development, environmental responsibility, energy security, and improving the quality of life in cities. In this context, both developed and developing countries are implementing various policies for the electrification of transport. China, as a leading player in the automotive industry, plays a crucial role in promoting electric vehicles and developing the necessary infrastructure. The government actively implements support measures to stimulate the development of the electric vehicle industry, aiming for sustainable development and technological superiority. The objective of this study is to determine the impact of government support measures on the development of the electric vehicle market in China. The research is based on the analysis of government documents, scientific articles, reports from international organizations, and statistical data. A regression analysis method was used to assess the impact of various factors on the industry's growth rates. The results of the study showed that the main growth factors are the number of charging stations and gasoline prices. The obtained data can serve as a basis for developing support strategies for electric transport in China and other countries. Keywords: electric vehicles, China, government support, policy incentives, infrastructure
