The development of renewable energy sources (RES) in the world is becoming increasingly important in the context of combating climate change, diversifying energy sources and ensuring sustainable development. In recent decades, there has been a rapid increase in energy production from solar, wind, hydropower and other renewable energy sources. This growth is supported by technological innovations, lower equipment costs, government incentives and changing consumer preferences. The drive to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and transition to clean energy encourages countries and companies around the world to invest in renewable energy. International agreements such as the Paris Agreement set ambitious targets for reducing emissions and encourage the transition to sustainable energy sources. The development of renewable energy also contributes to the creation of new jobs, the development of innovations and promotes economic growth. Countries, especially developing ones, see renewable energy as an opportunity not only to reduce dependence on energy imports, but also to create conditions for the sustainable development of their economies.
