Over the years, scholars developing the doctrine of corporate law have been engaged in an active debate regarding the purposes and interests of a legal entity as an independent separate entity. Some scholars argue that the primary purpose of a corporation is to achieve the best possible result for its owners, while others believe that it is to maximize the comprehensive benefit that the corporation generates as an entity, regardless of whether this is in the interests of its owners

The full text of a thesis can be published in open access on the HSE website only if the authoring student (copyright holder) agrees, or, if the thesis was written by a team of students, if all the co-authors (copyright holders) agree. Student theses are objects of copyright and their use is subject to limitations in accordance with the Russian Federation’s law on intellectual property.
