Land Grants of Merovingian Kings of 7th – Early 8th Centuries (on Legal Sources)

The work undertakes a study of the role of land grants in the relationship between royal power and the church in the Merovingian kingdoms in the 7th - early 8th centuries. The research is carried out on the basis of legal sources (Salian and Ripuarian laws, a collection of Markulf’s formulas and royal diplomas).

Student Theses at HSE must be completed in accordance with the University Rules and regulations specified by each educational programme.

The full text of a thesis can be published in open access on the HSE website only if the authoring student (copyright holder) agrees, or, if the thesis was written by a team of students, if all the co-authors (copyright holders) agree.
