In today's global landscape, where the flow and perception of information hold increasing significance, the portrayal of states in the media emerges as a pivotal factor shaping their international relations. The depiction of nations not only influences public opinion but also the dynamics of diplomatic relations and strategic alliances Russia has experienced notable shifts in its global image. The escalation of the Ukrainian conflict have catalyzed transformations in how Russia is portrayed and perceived by the international community. The proposed study aims to bridge this gap and understand how Italy's media portrays Russia. Italy, as a significant influencer within the European Union and beyond, makes its media landscape a crucial arena for shaping perceptions of Russia. By examining Italian media coverage of Russia, the research seeks to reveal different views on Russia's actions and policies.
