Conservation of the Estate in Gostilitsy

Student: Mangaeva Mariya

Supervisor: Andrey Punin

Faculty: School of Arts and Humanities

Educational Programme: Design (Bachelor)

Final Grade: 8

Year of Graduation: 2024

The chosen topic for visual research is an accompaniment to the topic of the thesis "Conservation of the manor in Gostilitsy", which examines an alternative method of restoration and understanding the significance of the ruined heritage. It is based on the idea of accessibility of visitors' interaction with the ruin, because any man-made matter is capable of destruction, turning into decorations for human life. This approach allows us to develop the idea of a ruined heritage and its preservation as a historical value and transformation into a functional museum object.
