Social Sexual Behavior and Firm Performance: The Role of Founder’s Self-esteem

This article is seeking to analyze the relationship between social sexual behavior and firm performance considering effect of founder’s personal characteristics, which in this work is self-esteem, as well as cultural differences. Relying on Upper echelon theory and Social information processing theory and using data from Global University Entrepreneurial Spirit Students' survey (GUESSS) this study explores the mediating role of founder self-esteem on social sexual behavior-firm performance connection and moderating role of gender egalitarianism on relationship between founder self-esteem and social sexual behavior. Findings of this study declares that founder traits and cultural differences influence association between social sexual behavior and firm performance.
