For the first time, the problem of vaginismus as a physical disorder is being studied within the framework of psychology. In medicine there is no unambiguous approach to the treatment of this disorder. In Russia, there are no official statistics on the frequency of vaginismus; this is due to the fact that questions about satisfaction with sexual life and sexual health remain taboo, although of course they should be included in the anamnesis when assessing the general and, especially, mental status. Relevance of the research: there is no universally developed multidisciplinary and comprehensive approach to the problem of disorders of a woman’s self-corporality, such as the occurrence of vaginismus from a psychological point of view. In order for this approach to be developed, it is necessary to first examine the individual specifics of the bodily self. The bodily self of a woman is a deep generalizing concept that includes many components, such as the individual’s attitude towards herself, enjoying the feeling of her attractiveness, self-realization and fulfillment of her daydreaming, self-discovery and mindfulness. Purpose of the research: to study the characteristics of psycho-emotional states and the level of bodily self of women 25-30 years old in order to study the psychological genesis of vaginismus and the influence of parental attitudes on its occurrence. The work also presents a practical case with dynamic management of a client in 2 modalities of psychotherapy. Tasks: 1. Carry out an analysis of theoretical approaches in the study of the phenomenon of “self-attitude”. 2. Identify the characteristics of psychological well-being and ill-being, assess the bodily self in women with different levels of self-attitude; 3. Determine the nature of connections between the level of the bodily self and indicators of psycho-emotional well-being, scales of psychological well-being and indicators for assessing the quality of life; Object of research: the bodily self of women suffering from vaginismus. Subject of the research: groups of women 25-30 years of age suffering from vaginismus and women without physical impairment. The hypothesis is that the psychological genesis of vaginismus, among other determinants, is determined by parental instructions. Structure of the work: the work consists of an introduction, 2 chapters, a conclusion and a list of references.
