Concatenated Codes Based on Sparse Regression Codes

Student: Sergey Ananev

Supervisor: Fedor Ivanov

Faculty: HSE Tikhonov Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (HSE MIEM)

Educational Programme: Infocommunication Technologies and Systems (Bachelor)

Final Grade: 8

Year of Graduation: 2024

In this final qualifying project, cascades based on Sparse Regression Code are studied. During the course of this project, the basic principles of noise-resistant coding theory, the fundamentals of constructing, encoding, and decoding SPARC and LDPC code, as well as their cascading, were studied. Using the Matlab, Python3 and C++, we developed software that implements SPARC codes and their cascades. The resulting models were tested and analyzed. Based on the results, a conclusion was made about the feasibility of using such coding systems.
