The dissertation is devoted to the analysis of the experience of experiencing self-harm in the context of Carl Rogers humanistic psychotherapy. The research is aimed at studying the personal experience of the respondents. In the theoretical part, an overview of the categories of the human-centered approach was made, such as the organizational value process, the value system and a fully functioning person, as well as an overview of such a phenomenon as self-harm or self-harm. In the empirical part, a semi-structured interview was conducted, the materials of which were processed using a phenomenological descriptive analysis, and methods were also used to assess the level of full-fledged functioning and self-attitude, namely, the Methodology of self-attitude research S.R. Panteleev (MIS), "The author's questionnaire for assessing the level of full-fledged functioning" (Vasilevskaya Ekaterina Yuryevna) and "Assessment of the need for approval" by D. Crown and D. Marlowe (adapted by Y.L. Khanin). The result of the study revealed that the level of attraction to life according to the organizational value process (OVP) during the commission of self-harm is low, and the experience of living in accordance with OVP prevents the occurrence of new episodes of self-harm.
