The Presence of the Absolute in the Consciousness of a Personality as a Source of the Ego-structure’s Dynamics

The purpose of the study is to identify and describe the dynamics of changes in the ego-structure of personality under conditions of mental actualization of the presence of the Absolute. In this study, the existing research in the field of Transactional Analysis related to the religious context was structured. The effects that emerge in connection with the actualization of the experience of the participation of the Absolute, as well as the effects imposed by belief in God, religiosity and spirituality on the ego-structure of the personality are the relevant question of this study. The sample of the empirical study: 125 people, 87 women and 38 men, from 16 to 75 years old, mean age 29 years (median - 26 years). The study is structured as follows: introduction, three chapters and their conclusions, conclusion and list of used literature. The first chapter is devoted to the analysis of scientific literature on the problems of integration of spiritual and religious aspects in the field of psychological phenomena, as well as the study of the main categories of Transactional Analysis, especially the ego-structure of personality. The second chapter analyzes the phenomenon of presence in the philosophical and psychological context, and provides a theoretical review of the concept of "reflected subjectivity". The third chapter describes in detail the empirical aspects of the work: it analyzes the directionality of the dynamics of the ego-structure, identifies certain regularities, and discusses their relationship to the components of religiosity - religious faith, religious affiliation, the feeling of closeness to God, and the frequency of feeling the presence of God or other Higher Powers in the life of the individual. The paper includes 179 pages together with appendices, the list of used literature counts 121 sources.
