The work focuses on developing a control system for a food dispensing "box", encompassing both hardware and software aspects. The authors of the paper examine current automation systems in the food industry and highlight the necessity for innovative food dispensing systems to enhance efficiency and save time. Hardware development entails implementing electronics and mechanisms for weight measurement, lid operation, and power delivery, resulting in a circuit connected to a controller. Software development involves programming the controller and creating a web application to administer the system. Additionally, the paper analyses the design of the electrical system and the selection of a suitable controller. This article identifies the most important aspects in designing mobile applications in Kotlin, reviews some architectural solutions and engineering patterns, and considers approaches to testing. The database design is also described. The desired model, database protection from external interference by the application interface and load testing are defined. The work is positioned as a critical component of an ambitious project to revolutionise the foodservice industry through innovative automation. The successful implementation of this technology is expected to enhance efficiency, improve meal measurement accuracy, and simplify administration. This will help to drive the foodservice industry towards a more modern and convenient future.
