Educational Programme: Master of International Business (Master)

Year of Graduation: 2024

This research provides a comprehensive analysis of the renewable energy development strategies and sustainability goals of the BRICS nations from 1990 to 2022. The study evaluated the relationship between various renewable energy indicators using regression analysis to explore how different forms of energy consumption influence economic growth and CO2 emissions. The findings reveal significant differences in the policy frameworks and investment levels for renewable energy across the BRICS countries. While China and India have implemented comprehensive plans and made substantial investments in wind, solar, and hydroelectric power, Russia, and South Africa are at more nascent stages of their renewable energy transitions. The research contributes to the understanding of the complex dynamics of renewable energy development in BRICS economies. It underscores the need for tailored policy approaches, strategic investments, and collaborative efforts to address the unique challenges faced by each BRICS nation in achieving a sustainable energy future. The study's insights inform policymakers, industry stakeholders, and researchers in developing effective strategies to accelerate the global transition towards cleaner and more efficient energy systems.
