The work explores the phenomenon of a difficult person. According to the qualitative empirical research conducted using the grounded theory method, the necessary and sufficient conditions for accepting a difficult person in the context of building (preserving) constructive communication were determined. Accepting a difficult person in the PCA paradigm involves managing difficult communication through unconditional positive acceptance. It has been empirically proven that a necessary condition for accepting a difficult person is his non-judgmental perception, which ensures transparency of communication. Recognition of the otherness of the other, rejection of prejudices and attitudes, patience and sincere interest in a partner, motivation to maintain relationships, refusal of dominance, the desire to be understandable and give feedback and many others, developed by a person-centered community, coupled with non-judgment, will become sufficient conditions for building maintaining communication with a difficult person.
