Web-application for Visualization and Analysis of Geoinformation Data: Subsystem for Processing of Earth Magnetic Field Data and Sunspots

Student: Pavel Lomakin

Supervisor: Victor Popov

Faculty: Faculty of Computer Science

Educational Programme: Software Engineering (Bachelor)

Final Grade: 7

Year of Graduation: 2024

Humanity has long been observing the Sun, sunspots and data on the Earth's magnetic field. The need for this arises due to the fact that solar activity, such as a flare, can affect satellite equipment, as well as other electrical devices and even living organisms. For this reason, it is extremely important to monitor the above data and be able to predict them. This work is an observation system for data on the Earth's magnetic field and sunspots. A website is being developed in which the user can not only see the visualization of geoinformation data, but also analyze it using various machine learning algorithms. In this work, models such as MLP, Prophet, LSTM and CNN are used for the task of time series forecasting.
