This article presents a comprehensive exploration of the development of a caching driver for MySQL within the userver framework, focusing on enhancing the efficiency and scalability of asynchronous applications written in C++. Leveraging insights from the userver framework, PostgreSQL and MySQL documentation, and related work in the field of database caching, a strategic approach was devised to design and implement a robust caching library. The design process involved defining key entities, such as cacheable objects and caching policies, to optimize data retrieval and storage within the application. Following the implementation and testing of the caching library, this research seeks to contribute valuable insights to the development of caching solutions in the userver ecosystem, empowering developers to leverage MySQL effectively in asynchronous application development.
