Visual novels is a video game genre that consists of a sequence of static or animated images, text and sounds. Visual novels also allow to influence their plot by providing a player with different choices through a game. As can be seen from the description, visual novels are not so complex compared to other video game genres. However, the creating of visual novels remains complicated, requiring the knowledge of programming languages and frameworks. This problem can be solved by a visual programming approach that will simplify the development process. Nodes could replace different actions in a game, such as changing backgrounds, sounds, characters, dialogues and choices, forming the graph of the game. The new development tool will implement this idea and will be integrated into the web-application.
