Nowadays, fewer, and fewer people are interested in cultural development since most people do not know about the sights of their hometown. This is since it is not always easy to find interesting new places to visit just by looking at the map. Unlike other applications on the market, «CityDiscover» not only provides information about interesting sights, but also considers user preferences. In addition, the application has gamification functions that allow you to involve a young audience in exploring their hometowns. In this work, we will focus on the development of the backend for the «CityDiscover» mobile application, which offers users the opportunity to discover interesting places nearby. The work contains 47 pages, 3 chapters, 15 figures, 13 listing and 23 sources. Keywords: server side, gamification, microservices, attractions, urban application, data storage, geodata.
