Confidential Data Management Service For Deployment and Support of IT Solutions

When developing and supporting modern IT solutions, a lot of confidential data is used, such as connection strings, API keys, passwords, account data, etc. As projects develop, number of sensitive data increases. Over time, it becomes difficult for development teams to securely store and effectively manage such data. To help development and DevOps teams this works proposes the creation of a confidential data management service for the deployment and support of IT solutions. The work analyzes the subject area and existing solutions for managing confidential application data, and discusses their advantages and disadvantages. The main functions of the system are presented, and the use cases of administrator, developer and application are described. The work also includes a use case diagram and a description of the storage scheme. The architecture and deployment diagram of the project are presented, as well as an overview of the system technologies. The server part of the system is discussed.
