Abstract Dual-band microstrip antennas have found wide application in the modern world. They have advantages such as the ability to operate simultaneously on multiple frequencies, improved performance, ease of use and resource savings. Due to this, they can be used in military equipment, in mobile phones, in a Wi-Fi wireless communication system and in many other devices. However, the study of dual-band microstrip antennas by analytical methods is impractical. In this paper, we propose a study of a dual-band microstrip antenna using the reactive load method in the Ansys HFSS program. Graphs of S-parameters and VSWR, directional diagrams were obtained. The effectiveness of this antenna was also investigated.
