Year of Graduation: 2024

This master's thesis is an in-depth analysis of the impact of digital technologies, including artificial intelligence, on the practice of psychoanalytic coaches and their interaction with clients. The possibilities and limitations of using digital tools in various helping professions including psychotherapy, coaching, and organizational consulting are explored. A particular focus of the research is the application of a psychoanalytic approach to analyzing the contribution of digital technologies to human mental processes. The paper examines how the integration of artificial intelligence and digital platforms into different areas of human activity affects human thinking patterns, behavior, and social interactions. As virtual assistants and chatbots, with their machine learning capabilities, begin to play a significant role in people's lives, it is an urgent task to rethink traditional methods of psychological practice. The hypothesis of the study is that digital technologies used in psychological practice contribute to human mental processes. The methodological basis of the study includes theoretical analysis of literature and empirical methods such as in-depth interview followed by psychoanalytic interpretation. The findings show that digital technologies not only enrich information processing and problem solving capabilities, but can also reinforce infantile personality traits of users. The work provides a comprehensive understanding of the impact of digital technologies on psychoanalytic coaching, which is important for professionals working in this field as well as for developers of virtual assistants.
