This research work presents a detailed analysis of aspects of increasing the efficiency of supply processes of a trading enterprise, which was the focus of the thesis. The first chapter of the study examines the theoretical foundations of distribution logistics, where current trends in trade development are noted. The role of inventories in organizing the supply system and the implementation of supply tasks taking into account the logistics approach are also described. The second chapter examines in more detail the supply activities of a trading enterprise, its functions and goals. The main tools and methods of logistics are presented that help improve the efficiency of supply logistics, such as ABC analysis, Monte Carlo method, economic ordering method and others. The chapter concludes by presenting methods for evaluating supply chain logistics performance, including key performance indicators, the balanced scorecard, and the strategic profit method. In the third chapter of the study, the Calzedonia Group company, which faced the problem of delivery delays in March 2023, was selected. The first scenario, involving the creation of a safety stock to increase customer satisfaction and prevent loss of revenue, reduced store conversion and other employee productivity indicators, was successfully implemented using XYZ analysis. The second scenario, which is associated with keeping records of customer orders and creating a strategic stock of goods taking into account constant demand, was solved using the method of determining current and safety stocks. This method allowed us to understand the general situation regarding the goods that the store in question has in stock, how many items for each item are in supply and how many more need to be delivered. To improve the efficiency of using both scenarios, a statistical modeling method was used, which was able to improve the performance and the overall situation in the warehouse. However, complete elimination of the problem was not achieved due to a sharp expansion of the delivery interval and fluctuations in frequency. As a result, in the process of work, the theoretical principles of logistics were studied and the acquired knowledge was applied to solve a practical case based on real events in March 2023. Thus, the goal of studying methods and ways to improve the efficiency of logistics activities in a trading enterprise was achieved.
