This work is devoted to the role of emotional intelligence in managerial decision-making by the head. The relevance of the topic is due to the fact that in the modern world, management in any organization or any process requires not only technical skills, but also a talented ability to effectively interact with people - consistently set tasks, communicate competently, correlate the goals of the organization with personal goals, as well as the goals of employees. This skill requires a combination of emotional intelligence, communication skills, leadership skills and the ability to adapt to different situations in order to make effective decisions. The purpose of the study is to identify the role of emotional intelligence in the process of making managerial decisions. The object of the study is the process of making managerial decisions by the heads of public organizations. The subject of the study is the role of emotional intelligence in the process of making managerial decisions. The study of emotional intelligence and management decision-making is still considered by the professional community independently from each other, although the main area of manifestation of emotional intelligence is the decision-making process. The chosen topic of the final qualification work dictates the need to understand what the skill of managerial decision-making is, its relationship with emotional intelligence and what effects the subjects of the managerial process in the organization feel from its application. The first section is devoted to the theoretical part of the study. The concept of "decision-making" is considered, the types of managerial decisions are defined, the stages of managerial decision-making are highlighted, the parameters of the effectiveness of managerial decisions are noted, it is established that decision-making includes analysis, setting goals, developing strategies and tactics, monitoring and adjustment. These aspects help to develop the skill of emotional intelligence, which plays an important role, especially for managers, because it allows them to better understand their own and others' emotions, effectively manage conflicts and stress, and make effective decisions. The second chapter presents the author's study of the importance of emotional intelligence for managers in the decision-making process using the example of the All-Russian public and state educational organization Russian Society "Znanie" (hereinafter - the Society). In the course of the work, an original procedure was developed, since such studies had not been conducted before. Based on the obtained research data, certain conclusions were drawn: 1. Leaders in Society occupy different levels of leadership positions, while most of them have a high level of emotional intelligence. 2. The Company is dominated by the number of managers who, in their managerial activities, are focused on a collective approach to decision-making. In general, the decisions made by managers in this organization can be regarded as effective and employee-oriented, however, for further management development, it may be useful to pay more attention to aspects of emotional competence and an orderly analysis of the results of their activities. 3. Representatives of the management team noted the importance of the skill of emotional intelligence in the management process, namely in decision-making by managers. A general empirical multicomponent study has once again confirmed the revealed relationship. Thus, it was possible to confirm that the development of emotional intelligence can significantly increase the success of a manager's activities, thanks to effective management decision-making.
