The dependent variable was the mental state of adolescents, recorded at 21 waves (N=899), this was done to assess the impact of the previous ten-year period. It was revealed that the mental health of the mother, the presence of both parents and a stable family structure significantly affect the mental state of children. Girls are more prone to psychological disorders, and excessive computer use negatively affects teenagers. The factors of employment and financial situation of the parents had no effect.
