Equality is an important principle of relationships between people, therefore equal rights and freedoms of women and men are very important in the development of the state. This research work is based on an analysis of the formation, formation and development of the rights of men and women. The relevance of this work can be traced in several areas: legal regulation, public administration and public orientation. During the work, legal acts of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan were considered and a comparative analysis of labor legislation was carried out. Research work has revealed that ensuring gender equality in Russia and Uzbekistan can be achieved by recognizing existing gender problems, eliminating them, changing them and, if possible, completely eradicating existing stereotypes among the public in this area.
