Thesis: 80 pages, 13 figures, 7 tables, 55 sources "ANALYSIS OF THE CURRENT STATE AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR IMPROVING THE STATE POLICY OF DEVELOPING "GREEN" INNOVATIONS IN THE ENERGY SECTOR" This work is dedicated to analyzing the current state of Russia's fuel and energy complex and determining opportunities for improving the state policy of developing "green" innovations within it. The aim of this master's thesis is to identify opportunities for enhancing the state policy of developing "green" innovations in the fuel and energy sector. The practical significance of the master's thesis lies in the possibility of using the research results by energy enterprises and companies, as well as legislative bodies to ensure the development of "green" innovations in the fuel and energy sector. The theoretical aspects of innovation in the "green economy" were examined, for which the author analyzed the essence of the "green" economy, its characteristics, and the periodization of its development from the late 1980s to the present day. Special attention was paid to defining the characteristics of innovations in the green economy and the specifics of their state support. The institutional basis for the development of "green" innovations, tools, methods, and infrastructure to support their development were examined, and the conditions for the effective functioning of the state support system for the development of "green" innovations were formulated. Additionally, "green" innovations in the energy sector and global experience in the development of renewable energy sources were presented. The study analyzed strategic directions for innovation in the "green economy" in the energy sector, including an analysis of state strategic planning documents related to energy sector development, green energy development, state support for renewable energy development, market regulation, as well as the results and challenges of developing "green" innovations in Russia's energy sector. The author also developed prospective strategic directions for the state policy of developing "green innovations" in the energy sector, which helped to determine the strategic development vectors of the green economy in Russia's energy sector and formulate measures within the strategy for developing "green" innovations in the energy sector in conjunction with the business and scientific communities.
