Planning and Management of Investment Development of the Region (the Case of St. Petersburg)

The final qualification work on the topic «State policy for managing the investment development of the region (on the example of St. Petersburg)» is devoted to assessing the role of fixed capital in the investment state of the region, as well as analyzing existing state policy measures to stimulate investment development. The paper defines the concept of «investment development», provides an overview of available methods for assessing key factors affecting the investment development of the region, as well as the legislative framework on the basis of which the investment activities of subjects are currently regulated. A regression analysis of the dependence of the gross regional product on investments received into fixed assets at the level of the entire state and St. Petersburg, in particular, was carried out. The current state policy measures have been analyzed and recommendations have been made for public authorities to improve the investment development of the region.
