The thesis master's paper explores the strategic role of M&A in the development of companies in Russia. The aim of the work is to analyse the main M&A models used in the Russian market, identifying the problems and prospects of these transactions. The study is based on literature review and event analysis of the impact of the transaction on the profitability of the acquiring companies, using data on recent M&A transactions from the S&P Capital IQ database. Special attention is paid to strategic and financial aspects, cultural and legal factors influencing the success of deals. The paper examines the effectiveness of various M&A models, their impact on the financial position of companies and offers recommendations for risk management and sustainable business development.
