Nowadays, there is a wide range of services that can apply makeup on the person’s face on the photo. For example, there are mobile applications for editing photos and cosmetic brands’ websites with this functionality. These services often do not support suggesting products’ colors based on person’s facial features and these applications often support a small variety of brands. This paper describes the process of building a startup in the beauty industry. We analyzed potential users, described the unit economy, the financial model and the business model. We also created an MVP that is a bot in Telegram messenger. It provides users with personal cosmetic recommendations based on person’s colortype and the opportunity to apply makeup on the photo. During our work we also tested the MVP on users, collected their feedback and described the trajectory of the future work.
