Increasing the Efficiency of Cargo Transportation in International Shipments

In the thesis, the latest logistics trends related to the implementation of international multimodal transportations between the Russian Federation and foreign countries in a situation of various kinds of economic, political and legal sanctions and restrictions were examined. The task is to study the existing academic literature on the essence of foreign economic activity, the transport sphere of logistics, the concept of efficiency of cargo transportation, methods and ways for its assessment, as well as the development and proposal of our own system of factors that influence the nature of international transport, when taking into account it becomes a possible optimal way to organize and carry out such transportations. Based on the task, the thesis consistently examined a number of issues related to the transport sector of logistics, the organization of international transportation in foreign trade activities, modeled multimodal transportation of cargo under conditions of sanctions and restrictions, and applied the developed proposals to improve the efficiency of organizing such kinds of transportations.
