Corporate bonds are a significant tool for companies, which allows them to raise capital for development. The analysis of corporate bond yields at the time of their issue is of considerable interest to investors and scientists, as it allows them to assess the attractiveness of this instrument and potential profitability. Consequently, given the rapidly developing corporate bond market in Russia, the awareness of the factors that influence corporate bond yields is accurate and relevant. This paper pursues the goal to identify and review factors affecting the level of corporate bond returns at the time of issue in Russia. In this study, the cross-section econometric model is applied to assess the correlation between the corporate bond yields and various factors on the corporate bond yield data from 2012 to 2024. It is assumed that the anticipated results will allow to single out determinants that give opportunities for investors to maximize the income and for issuing companies to attract more capital. The findings will be confirmed to be a valuable tool for developing financial management, as well as for making informed decisions in the field of financial investments in corporate bonds in Russia.
