The master's thesis is devoted to the study of the manifestations of the Pareto principle in the theory, practice and cadre of psychoanalysis. Domestic and foreign scientific literature was analyzed. As we know, in practical psychoanalytic work, the therapist quite often discovers in the patient's mental functioning the presence of an imbalance associated, for example, with pre-psychic traumas according to R. Roussillon or an imbalance of early mental development according to R. Spitz, that is, with the theories and practice of psychoanalysis, and, in turn, corresponds to the manifestations of Pareto imbalance. It is desirable for the analyst to know how this principle works, in order, for example, to avoid seduction by a sense of omnipotence, when especially successful interpretations resonate with the patient – "words are worth their weight in gold". Further, in the structure of the psychoanalytic frame, the external constants, the constants consisting of time, payment, and space, are also internal variables. Such a presence in both positions indicates the fact that a Pareto imbalance is found in the structure of the psychoanalytic frame.
