In the modern world, applications generate a lot of data every second, which is essential for company analytics. Traditional methods of processing this data involve running analytical queries on partitioned historical data, such as data collected over the last month, in specialized column-oriented database management systems like ClickHouse, or running Map-Reduce pipelines. However, recently, an increasing number of companies and projects have started to switch to processing data as it becomes available - real-time data processing. This method allows you to visualize and process data instantly after it originates, which helps reduce data storage costs, as well as get faster results. In this paper, we introduce the implementation of core modules for continuous queries in ClickHouse, enabling users to both define SQL queries that run continually and receive updates as new data arrives in real-time.
