Academic Skills Assessment in Foreign Language Teaching

Learning English is an important topic in the modern world due to the process of globalization. Therefore, the acquisition of language skills plays a significant role in modern society. Knowledge assessment is a particularly important component because it can be used to guide learning paths for effective skill acquisition. Consequently, the presented study aims to assess the academic competence required to successfully work in the field of foreign language teaching. The main goal of the study is to identify effective methods for assessing academic skills and develop recommendations for their use in the field of teaching foreign languages. To achieve this goal, the work analyzes existing approaches to assessing academic skills using various qualitative research methods, such as questionnaires. As a result of the study, the most effective methods of monitoring academic competence used in practice were identified. The results of this study may have a significant impact on the field of foreign language teaching methodology and English language skill acquisition.
