The history of the modern environmental agenda is characterized by the recognition of environmental problems, international agreements, increased activism and the integration of ecology into politics. During Soviet times, priority was given to economic development, which led to the serious environmental problems we are seeing today. In the 2000s, a movement began towards a balance between economics and ecology, which gradually began to lead to an increase in the level of environmental consciousness among the population. Opinion polls show growing awareness and concern about environmental issues in Russia. This study focuses on determining how nonprofit organizations need to communicate environmental issues in order to convince people of the urgency of environmental issues. The meaning frames used in communications can influence people's opinions, beliefs and behavior. Certain frames can encourage audiences to take action, support political decisions, or change habits, especially in areas such as the environment This study is based on the theory of frames, first proposed by I. Goffman. The findings of this study may have practical implications for environmental organizations, policymakers, and other stakeholders seeking to promote solutions to environmental problems.
