This master's thesis aims to investigate the current risks associated with procurement activities and the effectiveness of risk management mechanisms. The analysis examines the key methods used to reduce the likelihood of unfavorable situations during procurement operations in organizations. The research includes a critical review of existing risk management strategies in the procurement sector and an evaluation of their effectiveness to identify optimal approaches. Within the scope of the research, an analysis of current problems and challenges accompanying the procurement process is conducted, alongside an exploration of potential strategies and techniques to mitigate risks in this field. The obtained results are expected to deepen the understanding of the relevance of risk mechanisms in procurement and can serve as a basis for developing practical algorithms to improve procurement processes in various organizational structures. The conclusions and results obtained during the research may contribute to the advancement of theoretical foundations and practical aspects of risk management in the procurement sector. Furthermore, this dissertation may be interesting to professionals in management, procurement, and organisational leaders who are interested in optimising and reducing risks associated with procurement processes.
