A good level of subjective well-being (SWB) is crucial for both individuals and society as a whole. There are different ways to enhance well-being, and one of them is through engagement into creative activities. Current research work explores the connection between these concepts as well as tends to explain how creativity may influence well-being in terms of what may underlay this interconnection. The work focuses on Self-Determination Theory and Flow State Theory and their theoretical models in order to provide theoretical overview and evidence of basic psychological needs satisfaction and flow state experience playing the role of the mediators between creative engagement and subjective well-being. It also provides a detailed plan of the research design which aims to ensure practical evidence, closing the gap related to the relationship between creativity and well-being.
