The Organization of Rapidly Developing Countries BRICS is one of the largest organizations in the trade and economic system of the world economy. In 2024 the UAE, Egypt, Iran and Ethiopia officially joined the organization in the BRICS+ format. China, which represents the largest economy in the organization, is one of the key “players” in BRICS. The PRC promotes economic integration among the member countries of the organization, and also actively encourages the expansion and entry of new members into BRICS. China is a major investor within the “alliance”; in recent years, many infrastructure projects have been implemented on the African continent, as well as in Eurasia during the “One Belt, One Road” initiative. Thus, it is difficult to overestimate the role of China in economic cooperation within the BRICS framework. The purpose of the current work is to determine the features of economic cooperation between China and the BRICS countries. The main objectives of the work: to analyze the history of the development of the organization, to determine the main areas of cooperation between the PRC and the BRICS member countries, to analyze the largest infrastructure projects proposed by the PRC within the BRICS framework, and also to identify trends and problems in the development of economic cooperation between the PRC and the BRICS countries. The work will use the method of statistical data analysis, historical and chronological method, qualitative and quantitative content analysis. As a result of the work, we will analyze the place of the PRC in the BRICS financial environment, as well as the role of China in BRICS investment and infrastructure projects. The scientific novelty of the study will consist in a summary comparative table of economic cooperation between the PRC and the BRICS member countries. The current work consists of three chapters. In the first chapter we will look at international economic cooperation within the BRICS framework, where the theoretical part of the world economic cooperation will be examined, as well as the history of the development of BRICS and the structure of the organization. The second chapter is devoted to the analysis of economic cooperation between China and the BRICS countries, where we analyze the main areas of cooperation with each of the countries of the organization. The third chapter examines the place of the PRC in the economic cooperation of the BRICS, here we analyze China's policies to assist in the construction and financing of infrastructure facilities, as well as the internationalization of the yuan. The last paragraph discusses the features and prospects for the development of Chinese economic cooperation within the BRICS framework.
