Psychoanalytic Perspective on Roman Polanski's Movie "The Tenant"

This master's thesis is a psychoanalytic review of paranoia topic based on Roman Polanski's film "The Tenant". The main defense mechanisms, the course of the illness and pattern of insanity are considered by the authors through the perspective of the fundamental psychoanalytic schools. The basic theoretical concepts related to psychosis and paranoia topics are reviewed in the first part of the thesis. The second part of the thesis represents a clinical vignette, which illustrates insanity of the main character. The cause and the course of mental disorder are researched in the second part of the thesis as well.
