In the modern economy, the credit system is an integral element that determines the stability and development of the financial sector of the state. The work under review is devoted to the analysis of the impact of international sanctions imposed against Russia since 2014 on the country’s credit system, its main trends and possible paths of development in the changed conditions. The study covers issues of adaptation to new realities caused by political and economic restrictions, and emphasizes the importance of understanding changes in the credit system to ensure national financial security. The goal of the work was to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the consequences of sanctions for the Russian credit system and determine possible ways for its sustainable development. As part of the study, the tasks were set to analyze the state of the credit system before the introduction of sanctions, study the direct impact of sanctions, identify adaptation trends and develop strategic recommendations to improve the functioning of the system in the new foreign policy environment. The main contribution of the work is to systematize the study of the dynamics and structure of the credit system in the context of international constraints, identify problems and opportunities for its further development, and propose specific measures to improve its effectiveness. The results of the work are intended for specialists in the field of economics and finance, and can also be used by government bodies in formulating policies in the field of lending and managing the financial system of the state. The presented research can serve as the basis for Russian economic and financial strategies aimed at minimizing external threats and optimizing the internal resources of the credit system. As part of the work, specific recommendations are proposed to improve resource support for lending, which provides opportunities for further research and practical implementation of the proposed solutions.
