This study is devoted to the study of the relationship between religiosity and subjective well-being in Russia. The purpose of the study is to identify the factors affecting the degree of life satisfaction, as well as to analyze the role of religiosity and socio-economic. The ESS (European Social Survey) data were used for the analysis. Within the framework of the study the following tasks were set: 1. To identify the factors influencing the degree of life satisfaction in Russia, with special emphasis on religiosity and social interactions. 2. To investigate the level of religiosity among the Russian population and identify religious practices most closely related to subjective well-being. 3. To conduct a comparative analysis with other European countries on the parameters of subjective well-being and economic status to identify unique features of the relationship between religiosity and well-being in Russia. The hypotheses put forward in the course of the study included assumptions about the positive relationship between religiosity and mental health, the influence of social interactions on life satisfaction, and the possibility of modifying the influence of socio-economic factors by the level of religiosity. The main findings of the study confirm the significant impact of religiosity and social interactions on subjective well-being. In particular, religious practices such as participation in rituals and prayer were found to increase life satisfaction, especially in cultures with high levels of religiosity. However, the study also found that religious doubt and internal conflict can have a negative impact on mental health and well-being. In addition, the comparative analysis with other European countries revealed unique features of the relationship between religiosity and well-being in Russia, which once again emphasizes the importance of taking cultural factors into account when studying this topic.
